Proposal ini diajukan untuk sebagai bahan pengajuan IMC Jakarta agar dapat masuk kejaringan IMC Global (NEW-IMC), ini adalah proposal IMC Jakarta generasi kedua setelah sebelumnya IMC Jakarta telah dihapus dari list jaringan IMC karena dipandang sudah tidak aktif lagi oleh jaringan IMC, dan untuk memulai dan diakui kembali maka harus melalui proses dari awal kembali.

*Introductory Statement:
We'd like to participate in the Indymedia Network,
because Indymedia is a global media network that provides
open space to publish challenging, independent reporting,
with emphasis on political and social justice issues. And here
(in Jakarta) we can't find any media that can represent
the diversity aspirations of the peoples in our local community.
So, we deside to build a local independent media, and being
a part of global independent media network.

*Resources:
First, we have the ability to organize our selves and
to develop certain personality skill. We can work in
team as well as individually. Several of us have a
skill in video editing, news reporting (right now,
some of us work in News Agency and Radio), and also we
got some capability in technical field. Our collective
have several member which have internet and web
development skill.

*Outreach:
With Indymedia we hope we'll be able to spread
information to public, especially many news concerning
the public need which are refused by the Media
Mainstream. News like basic freedom right, social
equality, workers and women rights, minorities, youth
interest. We realize that many important information
are rejected by the Corporate Editorial Board and
hidden by The State/Goverment. To bring this goal into
reality, we seek to collaborate as much as possible
with other organization and grassroot activist.
We'll find a way to establish regular meeting with
other collective, groups, NGo etc, to promote
Indymedia, its Philosophy and invite them to
participate in this media.


*Identity makeup:
Now we have 8 male and 3 female, dan hope that in the
future more can join us to balance the gender
representation. We fully aware about the danger of
gender domination. Beside that, our collective consist
of different etnics and sosial group. We maintain
contact with many different groups, one of them is the
Peasant Union (SPSI).  We found this very useful in
order to exchange information and idea.

*Steps Represent Diversity:
We will try to make contact with different community
such as Acehnese and Papua. 

*Steps Involve New Workfields:
At this moment, we divide the collective in two
separate working group, i.e technical and editorial.
Based on interest and capability, every individual can
choose to involve in one of those working group. In
the future we plan to develop more specific working
group, like fundrising and finance, legal etc, of
course it all depends on our needs.

The other plan is to facilitate workshop and training
for intern and public. Some of them are journalist
training and website maintain training. 
We also hope that we can raise money so that we can
rent a place where we can use it for central
information and for communication (internet access and
other facilities), since not all of us here have those
devices.
