Pada tanggal 25 Januari 2010, pertemuan gerakan-gerakan sosial seluruh dunia yang disatukan dalam Forum Sosial Dunia (World Social Forum) resmi dibuka. Pertemuan tersebut yang dilaksanakan di Porto Alegre, Brasil Selatan, rencananya akan membahas alternatif-alternatif dari kapitalisme dengan keyakinan, bahwa “sebuah dunia yang lain adalah mungkin”. Pertemuan yang dihadiri sekitar 25.000 aktifis tersebut merupakan pertemuan tandingan dari Forum Ekonomi Dunia yang khusus membicarakan mengenai bagaimana kapiltalisme akan menguasai dunia yang diusung oleh pemimpin negara-negara pendukung neoliberalisme dan para pemilik modal internasional.

Belum lagi ulah ‘kekuatan modal’ skala multinasional dan transnasional seperti yang dibeberkan oleh Jonhns Perkins dalam ‘Confession of an Economic Hit Man’. Perkinsi menyebutkan “senjata mereka adalah laporan-laporan keuangan yang penuh tipu muslihat, pemilihan umum yang curang, hadiah (payoffs), pemerasan, seks, dan pembunuhan”.

Not only the Western walkout at the UN 2009 Ahmadinejad speech is a part of a repeating show, consciously the Western countries make no distinction between Ahmadinejad's just criticism on Israel and his alleged ''anti-semitic rhetoric''
Since the Western countries are directly and indirectly supporting the Israeli occupation, it is a shame and disgrace, that they walkout at this very speech, which brings into light the Israeli war-crimes and the Western implicite consent.

This exclusion will had credibility to any claims by terrorists to be fighting on behalf of the poor.
